Skinners Wii Console Number Exchange
Published on January 4, 2007 By DigitalCHET In Skinning

Hi guys, I thought It'd be a good idea to start a Nintendo Wii Console Number Exchange thread for Wiincustomize skinners so here it is.

If you have a Wii that is connected to the net, post up your Wii Console Number here and get in contact with other Wii-enabled skinners.
Every few days I'll add names and numbers to the directory below as they're posted.  Hopefully we'll end up with a whole heap.
I've added mine to start off.

Cheers...

FAQ

Q.  How do I find my Wii Console Number?

A.  To find your Wii Console Number do the following:

  1. go into the Wii Message Board on your Wii console (the small icon that looks like an envelope on the bottom right of the main screen)
  2. Click on Create Message (the notepad and pencil icon)
  3. Click on the Address Book on the far right
  4. The cover of your address book says "This console's Wii Number" and lists a 16 digit code below it; that's the console number.

Q.  How do I add friends to my console?

  1. Navigate to the Adress Book screen on your console (see previous question)
  2. There is a button in the lower right hand corner of the screen that says Register, click it
  3. Now click on the Wii console icon to enter someone else's Wii Console Number and add them as a friend on your console.
You can also use the Others button on the same screen to add email addresses.

Note:  Both parties must add each other in order for each to become visible to the other on the console.  So if you add someone, be sure to let them know to add you.

I got a Wii but no matter what I do it won't connect to my router. I gave up trying.

Me too. I just can't get it to connect to the wireless LAN - it won't even give me consistent error messages (which are a waste of time anyway, because you can't find out what they mean!).

Nice console though!

I had a bit of a problem too initially, but thankfully I fixed it by adding the Wii to the router's wireless station access list and voilá! Wii-nternet!!

Sventekoz, google the error codes. That's what I did and came up with several sites that explain most error codes.
